It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the promotion to glory of Charity Wangui Mwangi while undergoing treatment for Covid-19 at Nairobi Women’s Hospital on 1st April 2021.

She was the daughter to the late Johanna Githua Riitho and the late Rebecca Njeri Githua of Mukuriweni Division, Nyeri County. Loving wife of the Late James Mwangi Mumu, adoring mother to the late Kenneth and Maria Mwangi, Paula and Alex Nyaga, Olive and Bernard Pettiford and Ivy and Alex Karuri. Doting Grandmother to Tyrese, Matthew, Ethan, Andre’, Donovan, Justin, and Elijah.

Sister to Richard and Mary Riitho, Joseph and Alice Mutiga, Florence and the late John Gachau.

Sister-in-law to the late Wangui Mumu, Margaret Wamuyu and the late Mugambi, Wilfred and Teresa Muriigu, Charles and Irene Munyi, Wilson and Purity Maina, the late Mutitu Mumu, Gladyce and Jesse Ngare, Eunice and John Kuria, and Mary and Frank Mugendi.

She was an in-law to Alice and Harry Mugo, Lilly Pallares, Jacky and James Robison, and Bilhar and Sam Gichuru. She was a beloved Aunty, Cousin, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and loyal friend to many.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, 5th April 2021 at Langata Cemetery from 11:00am.

Due to the current covid restriction, the burial ceremony will be open only to family. However, the family request friends to follow the ceremony online on this site. You may also post your tributes and messages to the family here.
